New Model Train in MMRR Shop
Looks like there is a train running on the top of the new SouvenEars Toy Shop. It’s a nice looking streamline but wish it was a DRR

At one point, while I was still on social media, Scott Towler was designing a scratch built Viewliner. This was when he started working at WDI. Lost track of this project. Hard to tell from the photo if this was his design. Remember is On30 Natures Wonderland model? What an extraordinary model.

The whole attraction has a 1930's Art Deco feel, so a streamliner makes sense in that location. A Viewliner would have been very cool!

Cool! I just hope that they keep up the maintenance on the layout to keep it running properly. All too often, stores install a model train layout only to not do any routine maintenance on it and thus it just becomes a giant dust collector.

Re: New Model Train in MMRR Shop
While I did have involvement with Mickey's Runaway Railway way early in the design for Florida, the California version and subsequent connecting store was developed since my departure from WDI. The Viewliner (personal) project never really resumed when COVID hit when we all had to "go home for two weeks", but hopefully it can be finished in the future. The model in the store is probably a lightly modified/off-the-shelf model that can be maintained easier, which is funny thinking about a project Michael Campbell and I were working on 10+ years ago that was shelved because maintenance couldn't support it. Any Viewliner references are coincidental, but would be cool if they were reading my mind!jbponzi wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 11:37 am At one point, while I was still on social media, Sam Towler was designing a scratch built Viewliner. Sam, you know what they say at WDI: "No good idea ever dies. It just waits for everyone associated with it to get disillusioned and give up." Or something like that.

Pretty sure that's a PIKO DB TEE set.
