The station and train barn housing the Marie E are on the same property as the winery and hopefully remain out of the path of the fires.FIRE UPDATE: On behalf of the Lasseter Family and Winery Team, we want to express our appreciation for the positive thoughts, support and prayers we have received from so many of you, our friends, supporters and Wine Club members. We are grateful to report that the Lasseter family and Team are all safe, although sadly, some of our team lost homes, and many of us continue to be out of our homes due to the continuing danger and mandatory evacuations.
.
Our property in Glen Ellen has been, literally, in the middle of a firestorm, but we are thankful to report that, as of now, the major structures on the Lasseter Estate, including the Winery are intact. The majority of our Estate grapes have been harvested, and our wines are safely tucked away in our cellar.
With fires still burning out of control in most of Sonoma and Napa Counties, our property continues to be in peril, is in an evacuation zone, and is closed as we make employee safety our priority. Once we are able to access the Estate, we will reach out to you to let you know when we will expect to be able to reopen the Winery.
The North Bay wildfires have been a life changing event for Sonoma and Napa Counties. Our Family, our Team, our wine community, and the larger community have and will continue to come together, and we are grateful for your kind thoughts and support.

A friend this morning sent my a copy of a facebook post that said the depot and the tank are now ashes.
No idea if its true, but I hope it's not!

Re: Grizzly Flats Station, Marie E threatened by wildfire
I just saw a posting on a Disneyland Railroad Facebook group page that the Grizzly Flats Depot and Water Tower were destroyed in the fire. Unconfirmed by the Lasseter Family Winery. I hope it's not true.
The same posting said the Marie E was safe.

This is an almost unimaginable loss of Disney history.

If the station and water tower were near the center of this aerial photo:
Then it doesn't look good. Here's the after image of the same area (with false color apparently denoting vegatation):

Unfortunately it looks so. I have seen another map online updated by the area Fire Services which overlaid a diagram of symbols marking damaged and destroyed structures onto the satellite map such as in your first photo. That map seemed to show the structures to the right of the depot marked as destroyed but not the depot. But the other "after" satellite photo you posted seems to confirm reports it was destroyed. I have not seen any confirmation online from the Lasseter Winery or family confirming this.Unfortunate Bystander wrote:If the station and water tower were near the center of this aerial photo:

A member of the Walt Disney Barn crew noted at the last barn day that NONE of the structures on the Lasseter Winery were affected by the fires, contrary to what social media has reported.
