Re: Horse-Drawn Streetcar Book Well Underway...
[quote="DavidLeaphart"It will be a fun book, and I agree the streetcar is bypassed by a lot of folks rushing down Main Street to their loss.[/quote]Most of the reason for this is, because of all of the Trolley shows (no guests permitted on the trolley; I think the trolley show runs like five times in the mornings) and the Castle shows (the street cars do not run while a Castle show is going on), and they stop running pretty early in the day (before noon, because of the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! thing).
So there's really a *very limited* window of opportunity for guests to actually ride the street cars.
I drove the Main Street vehicles while I worked there, and was *very disappointed* when we started that "Family Fun Day" parade thing three times a day in the mornings, along with the Trolley shows. I miss my Fire Truck, my Omnibus, and my five other antique cars...

Does WDW have a shorter operating time for the Main Street Vehicles than Disneyland does? I've seen them run at DL up until 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

why is everyone quoting entire quotes? this is really annoying me and then the quotes themselves are all messed up so i have no idea who is saying what as evidenced by this sad quote above.
those responsible for the quotes have been sacked. the rest of the subtitles will be supplied by edwin the wonder lllama

The Main Street vehicles - Fire Truck, Omnibus, and the other "antique" vehicles - don't even come out for guests any more at Walt Disney World's Magic KingdomTFN5459 wrote:Does WDW have a shorter operating time for the Main Street Vehicles than Disneyland does? When I was working on Main Street, before all that entertainment stuff started on the street (Trolley shows, MiSiCi, fifteen Castle shows, etc.), we ran vehicles from park opening until about 1:30pm, had our parade meetings, ran the 3:00 parade, then brought the vehicles back out until it was time for Flag Retreat. We weren't permitted to run our vehicles "after dark".
Well, exxxxxcuse me. I missed a "]" in my original quoted post, and it screwed the whole thing up. It won't happen again, I promise.IDMT129 wrote:why is everyone quoting entire quotes? this is really annoying me and then the quotes themselves are all messed up so i have no idea who is saying what as evidenced by this sad quote above.TFN5459 wrote:Does WDW have a shorter operating time for the Main Street Vehicles than Disneyland does? It's not you, Jim. It's everyone else quoting entire qoutes as qoutes and then they ask a question or don't post anything at all. they just wanted to reiterate the post. And yes I am deliberately qouting the entire post above.
My brother was killed by a moose. No reali. He was carving his intials into the side of a moose with and interspace toothbrush given to him by Sven, a famous Oslo dentist and also the sater of many adult films........
