Re: Nara Dreamland Railroad?
I know several people that have been to Nara Dreamland when it was open but unfortunately none of them are railfans so they don't know anything about the train.
It's a shame that Aska is sitting there rotting away though.

Re: Nara Dreamland Railroad?
It seems that Japan has a lot of random theme parks just abandoned and lost. I know that at Westernland Japan, there is an old Baldwin 0-6-2T from Hawai'i named Waipahu that anyone who went to the Roaring Camp Railroads in the 70s will remember. Hopefully somebody removes all these theme park rides and can relocate them to somewhere better.Locoboy5150 wrote:I know several people that have been to Nara Dreamland when it was open but unfortunately none of them are railfans so they don't know anything about the train.

Re: Nara Dreamland Railroad?
I first heard of this park recently and spent an evening trolling google images for photos. I never found any of the train, but I did see their monorail, sitting at the station, dead.
I'd love to be able to walk around in this place...
