Big Thunder Mountain RR Model using Bachmann Trains?

Post by N.Parrott »

Is it just me, or does it look like they used a Bachmann On30 0-4-0 as the Big Thunder Mtn train model?
Here is a better picture off the Disney Blogs of the engine,

And here is the Bachmann On30 0-4-0..

They did modify the cab just a little bit, but other than that, it looks just like the 0-4-0 that Bachmann has.

What are your thoughts?

Looks close.....depends on how big the model is....never seen it. They may have just borrowed some parts....the wheels are different on the Disney model. Kitbashing would be no big deal for these folks!

Those are indeed Bachmann porters out of the box repainted and siderods taken off. I recognized it instantly since I've been so use to using porters on my own layout.

Considering this is suppose to be a replica of a concept model, not everything has to be *totally* correct.

On a side-note, I took some shots (and video) last week of the model.
