Sincerely

Looks to me like she's at the Orange Empire Railroad Museum here in So. California: http://www.oerm.org/pages/chloe.htm

YES, Wards 3 foot gauge all ended up at OERM, The Emma Nevada and her coach some time back and Chloe and her cars after his death. They all reside in the narrow guage barn.

Interesting that the locomotive is actually 1917 vintage. The builder's plates she has were from 1883! When Ward backdated something, he sure didn't forget the details!

As others have said, Chloe is in the collection of the Orange Empire Railroad Museum. Last Christmas she was on display at the Nixon Library and I took a few pictures: Chloe at the Nixon Library

Wow, UB, that's one of the best collections of photos of the engine I've ever seen! Well done!

Thanks. I've got an Allen Models 'Chloe' that is pending a rebuild. That's a nominally 2.5 inch to the foot scale locomotive running on 7.5" gauge track. I've never really been happy with the proportions and wondered if I could make it look more like Ward's Chloe. I was visiting family over the holidays so made it a point to visit with Chloe at the Nixon Library.

I need to make up a comparison shot of the two outlines, (model, prototype) and see what can be done...

Is this the same decorative eagle used on DRR engines? It appears to be two pieces - does it contain an extra set of ignition keys?

Keys?!? We don't need no steenking keys! Not unless it was made out of a Zippo table lighter in the shape of an eagle...

That's it, young man - no more Beer Goggles posting after "Last Call" for you.
