Private Sales

Post by WesternRiverRR »

I may have missed it - are private sales allowed here in the forum? I have a rather, err... "eclectic" collection of Disney/Railroad items... some old, some rare, some one of a kind... and before I place them on the ebay block, I thought I would see if they could find a good home here amongst other fans.

Of course, I don't want to break the rules in doing so. I see posts "asking" for items, and I see post advertising ebay auction links... what's the rule on offering up items here to other like minded collectors?

Thanks!

Western, I think I speak for Steve in saying that if you have some stuff to sell, by all means post it here!

Well then, to start I have an Accucraft Casey Jr that needs a good home.

New, opened box - has been on display, but that's it.

All reasonable offers considered!
(Note: reasonable does not mean the $1500 they've been selling at on Ebay. Something lower would be more appropriate. I did purchase it at full catalog price, and it has appreciated, sure, but $1000 bucks is silly).

Next, a rusty, nasty old spike - but a spike from the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad!
Again, all reasonable offers considered.

More to come...

Buyer's to pay shipping and insurance.

A few more bits...

A single, large vellum print of the engineering side elevation drawing of the 3 trains sets from Disneyland. Stamped WED 12, 1965, this is from the Bertino collection, and appears to be a copy, of a copy, (of a copy?). Nt the best reproduction quality, but rather rare.

Also, 6 half size drawings on paper of the HKDL track plan, with track and roundhouse ROW details. (No details of trains, this is of the track - rail, spike, ties, etc)

Again, all reasonable offers considered.

One more for now:

Metal "Disneyland Railroad" 1955 journal cover (?) - this is the rectangular cover that has been attached to wooded plaques in the past as cast member awards. I have seen some that have been painted.

This one is bare, no paint - no attachment - no plaque. Just the cover. Looks to be 'pot metal' of some sort. I'm fairly certain this is a reproduction and not a park original.

All reasonable offers considered.

Fort Wilderness Railroad Maintennance Manual:
by WED / Imagineering

The FWRR full Maintenance Manual - the 1977 edition - number 26 of 34 issued copies. Color Binder, in overall very good condition (sat in an office, vs. the shop floor - guessing it was never used)

This is just about as rare as they get. Considering that the small pokect SOP manuals for the FWRR can fetch close to $200, I'm placing this one for sale with a $500 obo price tag. Please feel free to offers.

Buyer's to pay shipping and insurance.

Just a note, Western, on the Journal Cover. I spoke with Tom Grace before he passed away. He's the guy that made the repros. According to him, he was contracted by the Park to make them, so while maybe not "original," they are the next best thing.

Steve,
Is this something we could post here, if one of us purchased it?
