I know, but it's fun to dream and imagine though. Isn't Disney all about dreams and imagination?

Not all.
It's also about the "hard facts." Or at least, it was.

The track gauge for the Main Street Vehicles Horse-Drawn Streetcars is 36", the same as the Disneyland Railroad. This is also the same track gauge used for the counterpart horse-drawn streetcar attractions in the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland Paris. Furthermore, a few years ago I knelt down for a moment on the tram tracks in Magic Kingdom and with a pocket tape measure I was able to confirm that it is indeed 36" gauge.
Now when it comes to the Jolly Trolley in Disneyland, there's pretty much no online resource confirming its exact track gauge; however, I did find multiple Japanese-language websites stating that the Jolly Trolley in Tokyo Disneyland is also 36". Because both Jolly Trolley attractions look identical, and because 36" is relatively common in the US and extremely rare in Japan, it's reasonable to assume that the American Jolly Trolley also has a track gauge of 36".
