Cool! Now I have the perfect excuse to add that nice Bachmann side door caboose to my roster.

The information offered up on this forum never ceases to amaze me. Now if I just had the time and talent to pull off building this stuff. I'd like to do a 7 1/4 gauge RR and run it around my house :)

As wonderful as Burnsland has always been, this contribution puts the site in the league of major internet resources.

Thanks, Roy. That was the idea. This place could serve as sort of an archive.

The drawings really get you thinking that scratch building a Disneyland consist would be totally doable. Now if you just go to that Large Scale Online you can really imagine building these cars correctly. Thanks for these.

Jumba: His destructive programming is taking effect. He will be irresistibly drawn to large cities, where he will back up sewers, reverse street signs, and steal everyone's left shoe.

Ok, so i foot paced the cars, heel to toe, and what i came up with exterior wise, not including the couplers, the excursion and holiday blue and green pace out to 36 feet each car.

Retlaw 2 paced out at 24 feet.

What this amounts to is 1/24 scale blue/green are 18 inches. Holiday red is 12 inches.
1/22.5 blue/green 19.2 inches. Holiday red 12.8 inches
1/20 blue/green 21.6 inches. Holiday red 14.4 inches.

These are rough numbers for the cars and length only.

BTW, the 1/22.5 measurement scales to the Carolwood Gondola and Cattle Cars. The size is correct, but the CPRR cars differ from the Disneyland ones considerably.
