The profile area of the board has been changed significantly. You now have the option of entering all sorts of information. If you want people to know more about you, then please update your profile.
When the data from the old board was read in to this new format, there was no place for a birthday. So that information was placed in the "Occupation" field. The new profile page has a place to enter your birthday, so feel free to delete that as your occupation.
Pretty cool stuff, although it took a while to add!
