Emperor of the North Lego

Post by Steve DeGaetano »

I consider the 1973 movie "Emperor of the North" with Ernest Borgnine and Lee Marvin to be the absolute best "railroading" movie ever made. It can be a little 1970s hokey, and the blood looks like ketchup, but the costumes and train scenes are magnificent. Highly recommended.

So when I stumbled on images of this, I was stunned--a Lego version of the steam engine star of the movie, the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern 19:

Some of those pieces look quite custom. Do we know if this a special set that Lego made? Or is it a virtual version of a potential product?

Those are good questions that I cannot answer.
