Re: Tokyo Disney Western River Railroad locomotive.

A website about the Tomix OO9 Tokyo Disneyland Western River Railroad models:

https://www.laurelandhardy.org/tomix.html

I see lots of these train sets for sale on the web, with some asking prices over $2000. I'm not seeing much about the models. Are the engine bodies die-cast?

I believe the above class 60 drawings were originally published in conjunction with the Chicago Railroad Fair of 1948-49. Walt Disney and Ward Kimball went to this fair.

Some years ago, I made an Nn3 mogul from index card. I also turned the stack and domes from wood. How did you make the name panel, on the cab side?

I've been using Flickr for image hosting for many years, and they've been perfectly reliable. I've never paid a nickel, for the service.

That goes to show how much I've been to the park, in recent decades.

Re: Tokyo Disney Western River Railroad locomotive.

Actually, the Marsh is in fact based on D&RG No. 1, the Montezuma. https://micechat.com/miceage/stevedegaetano/sd043009b.jpg I'm not shocked to hear that the Marsh was inspired by Montezuma, but the latter has different lines. It has 40" drivers, vs. 28". The Marsh cab side bottom goe...
