Knott's No. 41
https://www.davelandweb.com/knotts/images/KnottsPG_22_Train.jpg I believe this is the first paint scheme used on the Ghost Town & Calico no. 41, back in 1952. As a kid, I got a booklet from the Knott's train shop with lots of photos from the golden spike ceremonies of the GT&C. There was a ...

Re: Why No Car 106 Grand Canyon Photos?
I'd rather have a good model of the Grand Canyon car, than the mural plates. I hope the plates still exist, but I have to figure they've suffered fading and damage, from all those years of exposure. A good, high resolution photo of them, from back in their day, would probably be better to have for m...

Re: Why No Car 106 Grand Canyon Photos?
From the Daveland blow-up: https://www.davelandweb.com/entrance/images/60s/KTPBT-6-61-N20B-d1.jpg Full size image: https://www.davelandweb.com/entrance/images/60s/KTPBT-6-61-N20B-d1.jpg It appears, from the reflections and shadows, that the murals were painted on separately applied plates. Perhaps, ...

Re: 1:1 Walt's Lilly Belle.
I'm surprised. I guessed it was some sort of particle board, since it shows no grain, and is darker than the plywood beneath it.

Re: LEGO DLRR - MSS and Holliday
I suppose this is as good a place as any, to mention the new Lego Masters TV show on Fox. Around here, it airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Although I have an almost allergic reaction to Lego, I enjoy shows where creativity and design are on display, like American Chopper , Leepu and...

Re: LEGO DLRR - MSS and Holliday
You...you do realize it's Lego, right? And studs or no studs, it's just a facsimile of the real things? That they are not scale models? That they only bear the most cursory resemblance to the real things? Yes, Steve. I see Lego trains as moving towards snap-together scale model kits. Not like...

Re: LEGO DLRR - MSS and Holliday
I saw this on the Lego website. 2,925 pieces! And, there are still visible building studs, on the finished models. Perhaps someday, Lego will wake up to the fact that not everyone is willing to put up with Lego building studs despoiling the appearance of their finished models. They're certainly not ...

Coronavirus info
Many grocery stores and pharmacies have set aside special hours just for the elderly and otherwise vulnerable. For instance, my local Walmart opens one hour earlier on Tuesdays. It's another way to keep yourself safe.

Disney Experience paper models
I know I've mentioned this website before, but now seemed like a good time to revisit it: https://www.disneyexperience.com/models/index.php?page=1 They have good, free paper models, such as Disneyland's Main Street train station, and Big Thunder Mountain's loco and car. If you're building the early ...
