Re: Why No Car 106 Grand Canyon Photos?

Dave posted a new shot I hadn't seen before last month! Still not the holy grail closeup, but not a bad shot either https://davelandblog.blogspot.com/2020/01/welcome-to-disneyland-1961.html It is interesting how rare photos are of the car, even just the outside. My theory is that people waiting on t...

Drunk History - Great Locomotive Chase

If you need a laugh in a world of uncertainty right now, this one gave me a chuckle. Hadn't seen it before!

Nice to see the Lone Ranger locomotives are still getting use.

Re: All Disney Parks closed because of Coronavirus

They won't gut the locomotives... in fact they're going to save 2 weeks of fuel ($$$) by having the boilers cold! I've got a trip to WDW about a month from now... hopefully by the end of the month we'll have a clearer view of the situation. Holding out they'll reopen when April rolls in. While still...

Re: Engine 5 down

Grade and curves on the route are not an issue-- contrary to what MiceChat keeps regurgitating. The grades are no more and the curves no less than what the railroad has had before.

Re: Modeling the Viewliner-- A lunchtime project.

Great work, Sam! I was having trouble with diaphragms on the monorails and started using air conditioner foam filter material (from Lowes). It is gray and is highly compressible with little force. I tried stacking layers to make it thick enough but then cut a 1/4" strip and glued it on edge ar...

Re: Modeling the Viewliner-- A lunchtime project.

Well, now that it’s been exactly a year since an update, what’s new? haha Now that life has given little more time than the rest of last year, I’ve been slowly picking at the Viewliner model. The latest change has been the motor chassis. While it is the same one, this is a non-DCC version, ordered d...

Re: Fred Gurley Builder's Plate - New Questions

Just reading this now.... With something somewhat obscure, I will say this: It all comes down to if it traded hands (since this was some time ago) and if those hands found it significant enough to keep it. Due to the sheer volume of assets that are produced, things get tossed all the time if t...

Hooray! Just downloaded on my mac... but getting a non-responsive black screen after the "Made with Unity" startup screen. Animation fades in, then out, then nothing. Running 10.13.4
