Re: The Wild, Wild West
Roy: Thanks for sharing some photos and information from my webpage. In answer to your question, the name "Wanderer" was never uttered in the four season run of "The Wild Wild West". It was only mentioned onscreen in the movie version. The name of West and Gordon's private train ...

Re: Conductors Caps Redux
I have bought a couple of these over the years from them. I believe they get the caps from Midway. They also offer one with a fabric top rather than the plastic mesh which is at least a little closer to a real Disney double-top cap, but in addition to the plastic faux wicker not being on top, the ca...

Re: Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad repro. STATION AGENT badges are here!
Yes, I had Bill’s Retlaw badge repo on the hat before this so I could swap this one for it. If the hats have grommeted holes on them already they are spaced for a particular size badge. The original SF&D badges are narrower than the later SF&D versions and Retlaw badges. I was going to use b...

No, I put the elastic band on until I can mount the clasps for the badge. Badges with the slots on the end rather than holes for clasps were often mounted with an elastic band or cotton laces.

Re: Conductors Caps Redux
It's been a while on this subject. A few thoughts on the original 1955 conductor hats/caps. I did see an original at one point. It has a label from Desmonds, in Southern California. Desmond's was originally a hat shop, but by 1955 had developed into a full-service chain of department stores, with c...

Re: DRR Engineer and Conductor Caps on eBay
Thanks Steve, I was suspect of the engineer cap patch also. I regard to the conductor hat and badge. Bill Colley replied to me after posting a photo of himself wearing the original style conductor cap that they were wearing them until he left in 1990 and the new (current) style didn't replace them u...
