Pretty sure the tender grab irons have been swapped - guessing it's not too much trouble to reverse them.

Re: Fred's Cab for sale?
Wow! This could’ve been a buy now, ask for forgiveness later situations. I'd typically agree - but 6500 bucks was a touch above our agreed upon "buy first ask later" rules in the house! :? (Thankfully too - or lord knows what new couch and living room sets would be waiting for me every ti...

Re: Fred's Cab for sale?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for that - how did you find that?!
I've spent a week digging and digging - tried messaging folks, etc.
Real shame the guy selling it could just be above board and post "sold" rather than the cloak and dager... would have saved me a heck of a lot of time.

Re: Rubber Inserts for Trolly Tracks on Main Street
**Edit just to say - it's also possible that Central Shops was purchasing something like the flange way filler, and then "slicing off" the lower sections that extended down, and under, the foot of the rail - creating the narrow sections you see on Main Street. So it may have been an off-th...

Re: Rubber Inserts for Trolly Tracks on Main Street
I don't remember who we bought those from - I had some insight on that (tangental) when working on the Eastern Star. Most of my emails are long gone - but I had a quick look. Not sure if this is who the contract ultimately went to, but they were on the list at the time: Poly-Corp https://www.poly-co...

Fred's Cab for sale?
So yesterday morning, I woke up to a posting on Facebook from a name I didn't recognize offering the 2007-ish rehab discarded cab off the Gurley for sale ! It was located in Atascadero, CA - and the seller even offered to forklift it on to transport for the buyer. In doing some sleuthing, it...

That, or they were produced ahead of an expected approval (that never materialized), or arrived after a license agreement lapsed or was revoked?Steve DeGaetano wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:22 am My only thought is there was some QC issue with the production run...

Re: DRR Challenge Coins?
Just got one too - mine says 8/50 on the edge of the coin.
No smudge on the face - but, the edge of the coin has several very small nicks and dings.
Still, looks really nice IMHO

WRRR operating with expired boiler certificate!
Ooops! "The Oriental Land Company was forced to issue an apology today after discovering that one of the steam locomotives on the Western River Railroad attraction at Tokyo Disneyland ran for nearly a month after its safety checks expired." Seems the Mississippi's boiler certificat...
