Re: Knott's Berry Farm No. 41

Thanks for bringing this up, Locoboy! As someone whose Six Flags park is the one in Georgia...and over the years watch then gut our 2 steamers and turn them into diesel outlines to having #3 first catch on fire and then later derail and now it rots out back of the engine house... I would be VERY con...

Re: Disneyland Paris tips

I last visited DLP in 2019. I found the park to be a cross between Disneyland in Anaheim and the Magic Kingdom in WDW. The scale more mirrors Disneyland, but it is spread out more like WDW. You should have an amazing time...as long as you are OK with everything being just slightly different than tho...

Re: WDRR to be closed during 50th?

From what I have gathered, the suspension of work that occurred on Tron due to COVID park closure and the impact on company finances because of the pandemic has caused the whole project to run behind schedule. As you will remember, initial press had Tron opening this year for the 50th. I am still op...

Re: WDWRR Post-COVID Maintenance and Reopening Timeline?

I am totally guessing here...but I would imagine that Disney had contracts in place with various firms to do different parts of the construction. For example, coaster install...building...canopy...que area..interior...and the like. What I don't know is how much is done by external contractors and wh...

Re: “Extra” Passenger Cars in the Roundhouse

I see what you mean... The only consist I don't see in the video is the #100 series. I can only assume that it is the one in slot 5. Based on the date of the video, that was a time when they were refurbing all of the consists. I've taken that tour many, many times. I do know that they don't have a 5...

Re: “Extra” Passenger Cars in the Roundhouse

That is the consist for #4. In the video, #4 is hooked up to #2 consist for the morning welcome show - back when they had that.

Re: WDWRR Post-COVID Maintenance and Reopening Timeline?

Two things... 1) I was wrong in that they have completed track work on the mainline because 2) there is no track at at Fantasyland Station! I guess I was correct about there being no train on display at Fantasyland Station. https://wdwnt.com/2020/09/photos-track-removed-at-fantasyland-station-...

Re: WDWRR Post-COVID Maintenance and Reopening Timeline?

Disney updated the diagram at the last D23 to show a tunnel for the WDWRR. I guess someone figured out that having a steam engine venting into the canopy while climbing a 2+% grade was not "good show" for those in line for Tron. Here is a site that has the newer drawing: https://www.disney...

Re: WDWRR Post-COVID Maintenance and Reopening Timeline?

That's also a good point. I don't think they've restarted on re-tracking the mainline either, have they? Well, they have done all the track maintenance except the gap between Fantasyland Station to just past Space Mountain. If I had to guess, I think they are going to put up the canopy for Tron, fi...
